Pictures of front splitters?
Discussion
Mounting is no problem. The bushes are in the winglets and you just need a spot of imagination and a cordless drill. Two hours of hi tech guess work and jobs as the pic shows on the link. I have tested this, at various speeds and seems spot on to me. There is another MK1, good friend of mine, with winglets and he comments that they work a treat Vs. no splitter.
To fix mine I used the existing hole that is in the base of the headlight pocket in the front wing. You will need to remove the purge canister on the drivers side and the washer bottle on the passenger side. I fixed the trailing edge first and lined up for best fit then bolted the middle set, requires drilling, and the centre pair. This is tricky as I had to use the retrieval gadget and a TIG rod to drop the bolt in behind my mesh grill, other option was rad out. I sealed to the body with CT1. In the right position they fit really well.

Matti that's exactly what I'm after, at the mo mine is a standard mk1 but would like to fit a splitter, and prefer the winglets to the S one. I don't suppose anyone will know if they do anything for downforce rather than just look pretty?! (Although the S one doesn't look like it should do much yet it does)
The effectiveness is a good question. I'm not sure either have had any real empirical testing done, for example in a wind tunnel, but many say the mk 1 splitter stabilised the car. The danger with untested aero aids is they may have an adverse affect on stability. A number of people, like John mentions above, haven't experienced any issues with them. There was a thread recently of a chap going round oulton over a crest and the front end of the car goes light and sticks him in the barrier. Would the splitter have reduced the chance of that.
I'm convinced the winglets greatly improved my mk2 Tuscan.
120mph was scary as hell before but after fitting them it was no problem at all.
Now I just worry about 'what if one breaks '? :0
PS.
I may be interested as my British Bulldog pup has decided winglets are good for chewing on

Just a quick question, I thought the S model had its indicators down in the rear panel, this S has them where the non S has them, very confusing Gassing Station | Tuscan | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
