Folks, seem to remember someone on PH who was familiar with windscreen fitting to TVRs?

Anyone provide a name or link?

My screen was replaced about 9 months ago. However, Jason commented at last service that it was not quite right, allowing some engine noise into the cabin. I wonder if an existing 'screen can be taken out and re-fitted?

Glassman (Paul) is your man. You may have to enjoy a drive up to London to get it done.....ask him. But then, can't speak for you, but I bought my TVR to drive it. I did a 360 mile round trip to get the alarm changed by Carl Baker......to Hampshire.

Have you taken it up with the original installer?

Paul, thanks for replying.

Short answer is "No", I don't have a lot of confidence in taking it back TBH.

I'll PM you.

Had a screen fitted a few years back in January, wasn't till a few months later, i realised my mistake
The targa panel gets tighter in hot weather, so the screen needs to go down a little
bummer really cuz the car was next to the oven when the screen was bonded in

www.mobilewindscreens.co.uk were recommended by Pistonheaders some years ago. I contacted the MD Phil Lomas who is also a PH member. phil.lomas@blueyonder.co.uk They did a cracking job on mine and have done my Jag as well. They have branches all over the place. I went to Portsmouth where they had a guy who had experience with Tuscans.

Just to close this out....Well so far anyway!

PM'd Paul, and got a lot of help and advice - top man! Bottom line is that I should take it back to the fitting company - if they baulk, then go back to my insurance.
Also got an email and contact name for a company in Poole from Paul.

Think it was S6Devil who mentioned the company in P'mouth - that's worth knowing too!
