Hi guys, sorry if there is a thread for this already, but is there a simple list (or map) of where in the UK garages are that specialise in TVR's?

I'm in Essex and will no doubt have some bits I want done (that I won't have time to do myself) and wondering what my best options are.

Thanks, TC

Obviously depending on where you are in Essex, but I can highly recommend Taylor TVR in Larkfield, Kent.
Dan Taylor is a top bloke, very passionate about the cars.

If you are in the west of Essex then Bespoke performance in Ware,Herts are top guys, they have looked after my Tuscan since I have had her and they have a long history with TVR.

Great stuff thanks guys. Have just found Castle Sports Cars on the mytuscan map, they are close in Stansted, anybody used them for servicing etc?

Castle and Bespoke are both great for servicing. Both have looked after my TVRs for many years.

The main mechanics at both places have a long history of working on TVRs and both are ex-TVR
dealerships.

Brilliant thanks again.

I know it depends entirely on what needs to be done, but as I have only had my car for a few weeks, what sort of service costs can I expect for routine lubricants, filters etc?

Personally do those yourself, get to know your car, and for 6k and 12k take it to a specialist smile

All the work I have done is never just - simple servicing - so I would not be able to quote a price for you.

Suggest you ring Martin (Bespoke) or Andy (Castle) for a quote.

I'm more than happy to do servicing myself, I am not short of workshop space and facilities available to me, but was thinking more about stamps in the service book to keep future buyers happy should I decide to sell it.

I guess I could just keep manual records and receipts for the folder I already have for general servicing, and take it to the dealer for the 6k and 12k ones (though I'm not sure what they entail?!)

I bought my car from Castle and they're only 10 minutes from me so serviced it while still in warranty.

More than happy to drive for an hour and a half up to Mat Smith in Norfolk.

+1 here, Downham mkt is an hour plus drive each way for me (50 miles) but well worth it to know that my car is in safe hands.
Bespoke are also very good if Mat is too far from you smile

If you get Sprint mags, there are a set of detailed reviews on...
  • Mat Smith
  • Bespoke Performance
  • Castle Sports cars (already done)
  • ...
...and a selection of others up and coming in the next few months.

Might help for future reference

Thanks, Castle is definitely closer to me (near Colchester) so will look at reviews and pricing. I wouldn't mind the drive to north Norfolk but it's a pain if it has to be left there!
