Had my first tail twitching moment this morning getting onto the A5, I know the roads are not perfect yet but so much different from my Chimaera.
Also after filling with petrol car wouldn't even turn over everything was on heard the pumps prime but nothing on the starter button. After the usual tvr comments got a push out of the garage and played about with the button and she started, been ok ever since, anyone on here had problems with starter buttons.

It sounds like you have a HOT start problem, just do a search to find out all about it.

Thanks anyway Gordon.
I think it's to do with the Starter button. But like you said will wait for experts to come along.

Re the tail twitching, I'm always careful with the throttle when going over the white lines upon entering motorways/dual carriageways from the slip road. Probably why they are called slip roads smile

Also when changing lanes I'll take my foot off a little, I don't trust the white lines in the damp weather

Are you sure that the immobiliser was disarmed?
It has caught me out a couple of times. It seams to rearm quicker than my Chimaera does and on a couple of occasions has not disarmed when pressing the key button with the ignition on (I had to use the other fob thing or lock and unlock the car with the ignition off).

Also the starter button in your car is non-standard and was fitted by a previous owner when having some trim work done. I is fitted where the ashtray normally is.

Which bit of the A5 was it so I can watch out?

Hi Mike
I thought it was the immobilizer as well but was trying for at least 30 mins, unlocking and locking the car in the mean time but nothing until i took out the starter button and had a wiggle about then it started first time.
I have been starting all morning after my run out and had no problems at all. I think the button is out of an Aston Martin will get it checked on the next service at TVR power.

The slippery bit on the A5 was when i joined it at the Stony Roundabout.

Sounds very much like the button in that case.
Has anything moved below it that might have nudged it at all?
Must get together soon.

Cheers Mike,
Will have a close look at it and speak to Ron to see if he had any problems with it.

Catch up soon sounds good.
