Oh no mate. What happened? From someone who is on his second rebuild, I feel your pain!

Heading up the motorway at normal speeds... and BANG.

Seems that it's dropped a valve. Going for a full rebuild from a reputable manufacturer. Oh well...

That's horrific, what a nightmare sorry to hear that. Things like this scare the bejesus out of me because there's no way I can afford to fund a repair like that so once mine goes that's it, it's gone. I hope to god you get sorted out properly this time!

Such a shame when you've been such an advocate of your second and with all those miles under it's belt.

So do you cancel the wedding to fund the rebuild or vice-versa rolleyes

Also a pity with the turn of weather, I am going to get the TOSH run up again, godd to meet up last year.

With the benefit of hindsight...!

Thankfully the wedding was already paid up in full, but we might be having the complimentary biscuits for dinner every night on the honeymoon. At least the fiancee is still glad the car will be back on the road... although after the third pack of biscuits she might have second thoughts.

Cheers Macey ---- I will try to be there in my skyline instead of the family wagon wink

stevegg ---- NOOOOOO! so sorry to hear that pal, hope I didn't jinx you! How much is it going to set you back and who done the last rebuild?? and how long ago. Perhaps other people who used the same place may have trouble.

I must be mad because I still want one, although I could not afford one rebuild let alone two. Be nice to get a pole going of owners/rebuild/failures ratio and compile some data on likely or forecast failures through statistics.
