Hinged my bonnet and now looking at tidying up the engine bay, starting with getting the rocker cover done.

When removing the rocker cover is there anything I need to be particularly aware of? Do you remove the scuttle panel or is it left in place? Is the rocker and the plug cover refitted using instant gasket rather than a traditional gasket?

Any info from previous experience welcome.

Cheers

First thing is that the rocker cover comes off fairly easily without the removal of the scuttle panel.... The instant gasket is important to get the right one. I use the loctite black silicone one...think the number is 571... Same for the spark plug cover too...just be careful not to put too much on as you don't want the silicone to go into the engine oil ways.

I recall from a previous post that this requires special anti-vibration lock washers - is this correct?
