Is the bonnet still easily removed, once it's hinged in place.

The main bonnet can still be easily removed - the front pivots are two bolts that locate to the chassis via two vertically mounted rose joints. I guess it's marginally more hassle but nothing significant and obviously you still need two people to prevent any damage. The bonnet has to be held 'open' whilst the bolts are removed or inserted. On my car I use a lock-nut on a plain nut rather than the 'nyloc' nuts supplied with the kit as the latter require too much torque to fasten which means the bolts rotate during the final set up with the bonnet closed and when you can't access their heads.
