The garage tells me its been in Germany since 2010. The owner tells me it had a rebuild at 6,000 miles (though no proof of rebuild or any other documents.
car has done 35,000 miles roughly.
Car runs but needs work.. will try and save her, but can anyone help with it's history?

I just cant find any info on the car!!!
you would of thought someone would of recognised the interior.. I like the loud interior, the wheels need to go back to silver/grey. IMO.
the car also needs a full respray - (just got sent more photos as they said it needed doing). plus other things too.
But I have no history..

Are you buying the car as a project to do yourself? Otherwise its not cost effective is it? It will be £14k with exchange rates and collection costs unless you can get some discount. £1000-4000 for paint, depending how bad it is? You've got to factor in an engine rebuild and then you might as well do the clutch at the sametime? And then those other little jobs as the car hasn't seen a TVR dealer in five years is going to cost a small fortune?
Hi James,
Yep, its a project car. Yep it's not cheap once you add it all up..
What concerns me at the moment is I don't know if its been in an accident as the garage in Germany have no documents of the car when it lived here in the UK. They gave contacted the owner of the car and he has no idea who he bought it from 5 years ago as he lost the details!! very convenient!! I have asked for the VIN number to see if I can dig any details up about it's history.
Any other ideas on how I can kind info on this car?

Hi Sandro,
Yes Project Cars never end up being cheap once you've done them, but at least you get your perfect spec of car.
I use Experian which requires a registration, but "butter face" on here can HPI a car's chassis number if you can get that, so you can find out if it has had a total loss accident in UK. When I read the owner "lost" the details, it does set my alarm bells ringing. Brits joke about “ze Germans and their efficiency”, so I don’t believe he can’t find an old service bill/MOT etc……
There's also a very active German (plus Dutch and Belgium) TVR scene and those guys know values of TVRs, so if a cheap car is available, you have to wonder……?
Don’t let my cynicism put you off. Do your homework and let me know what happens.

The Germans were hiding a few things it seems to me!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to a few TVR members, we managed to get the details of the car..
What a joke!!

6 owners not 3 as stated on the German documents
The car was Blue when it left the UK - now it's black
I sent a mail to the garage in Germany stating these facts and he has not responded all day...
I will send the details to a few TVR guys in Germany so no one buys this car.. its a death trap

Looks like you dodged a bullet with tenacious diligence, well done.
Apart from avoiding dangerous accident damage, I was wondering what would be viable paying for a car with zero history. I guess if you stump up for an engine rebuild and had the chassis properly inspected with a Geo, missing history doesn't really matter in terms of future saleability ?

Total joke... The whole system in wrong......
. Cat B means that it should be crushed and never used on a legal road. Though you can if required salvage parts from the car.
What surprises me and really gets my blood boiling is how they all the car on the road in Germany, and faux the ownership and history of the car....
