VIN NUMBER HISTORY CHECK?
Discussion
Hi,
How do I check history of a Car if I have the VIN number only? no idea what the number plate is?
The car is registered in Germany. I called DVLA to see what they suggested and they said I would need to speak to the German DVLA? or complete import documents?
it cant be that painful, surely.?? They say as its been exported they cannot access the data?

What specific kind of history are you looking for ?
Other countries do not keep records of previous owners. However, if you would like check if the car is/was stolen you may enquire the German "kraftfahrzeugamt" (www.kba.de). The will charge around 15 Euros for this.
Maybe some German PH fellows can supply additional details.
