Hello, my Right exhaust (drivers side) has dropped. Can't see any visible issues under the car. What's the reason? Let me know if you are aware of what's happened? I got decatted last week and this has just surfaced. Thanks

If they're standard cans they are prone to corrosion at the joints which makes them drop even if they're sitting on the hangers correctly. Mine did the same and it was a replacement can job.

Sometimes the adhesive can break causing the weight to be taken on the joint, just make sure it isn't loose as I lost one last week. frown

If the weld from the rear box to the can is solid, loosen the rear can clamp and push it back/twist it till its back to the normal height.

As I have no tools and my local TVR garage is busy would a place like Halfords or Kwik fit be able to sort this out?

Want to send us a picture or two in the morning and we can have a look what looks to be the problem?

looks to me to be a problem with the backbox in front of the end can. Could be off the mounting but more likely the weld on the backbox has broken. I have taken those back boxes off and replaced with 90deg bends. Best find an exhaust place like longlife exhausts etc.

Also check the rubber strap that hangs the box. my strap was broken and cause the drop of the exhaust.

The carbon cans are still there, just the rear boxes have been removed, so the rear welds will no longer fail.

As said above also check the strap that holds the rear boxes on, had them fall off once when I hit a bump, got an exhaust centre to put a universal one on.
