Mannings were reasonable for mine, although it's the first year that they have been so....

Also sensible in accepting a valuation from someone who actually maintains the car unlike some who claim that to be a conflict in interest.

Try Classic Line, seem very competitive on price .You just send them some current photographs and £20 to agree a valuation that you propose. Guess you have to be realistic, however they accepted my values for current Tuscan and previous Chim with no quibbles.

I too had a favourable quote from Mannings.

They have a new(?) 'consultant', Stacey, in the office - - who does actually follow up on queries and calls you back promptly.

I asked about agreed value - require 'statement' from recognised TVR specialist plus photos - RH/LHS, interior, front/rear and engine bay.

Still using Amlin as underwriters, who, when I was hit up the back, were very fair and reasonable.

Agree on all counts including the most important aspect - what are they like should you have to claim!

Thanks guys , I am worried by the 200 quid quotes from multi car policies that their "market value" would be poor.
Sensible quote from classicline with agreed and a few track days, never taken my own car on track though. Once the helmet visor shuts that red mist dost affect me greatly!!!
Thanks as always

I too switched to Mannings after Admiral cancelled my insurance on the spot once I told them about the 4.3 upgrade. I don't think my £180 premium from Admiral would have covered the new value of the car anyway, so feel a lot better spending a couple of hundred quid more knowing I have an agreed valuation of £30k, rather than the £16k it was originally.

Classic Line for me, Got the Tuscan S valued by straight six who service it then sent the pictures to classic line and all done, limited mileage of 5k.

I was with Classic Line for 5 years and thought they were great despite being the cheapest by some margin versus the usual specialist insurers.
