Hi
Have done nearly 3000 miles in my Tuscan this year and she hasn't missed a beat but noticed yesterday after a great run to Topcats that when pulling away in low revs became a bit hesitant but picked up and then was fine, ticks over lovely and revving standing still no problem.

Any ideas ?

Can't offer you any insight, but I have the same issue - hesitant at light throttle. It's on the list of things to sort out after my str8six check and report, so I'm interested in the answer.

Thanks Buckers interested to hear results of your check up.
Only thing I can think of is maybe it was down to only having 10 litres of fuel according to the dash readout.

I would imagine if you were getting fuel starvation you'd have bigger problems now smile

Mine won't be going in until the end of the month to get sorted, so if you make any progress before then post up here.

Yeah I think you are correct.

Having op on my hand tomorrow so will be out of action for a few weeks.

Look forward to hearing your results as I won't book my car in until the new year.

Colin

I used to get hesitation at steady throttle at circa 3000rpm with little load. The cure for me was throttle body removal, machined and roller bearings added for the butterfly's and new gaskets fitted. Problem now solved. If you go down this route, I would recommend soda blasting as I spent an age just cleaning them up.

Might be your HT leads need replaced.

Could be damp if the plug cover seal is not 100%, similar effect to HT lead breakdown. If its due a tappet shim check soon and it disaapears after that, chances are that was the cause.

I had my Throttle bodies done as well but the symptoms were different.

I had the same hesitancy on my Tuscan and it took quite a while to track the problem down.
It turned out to be the coil pack on its way out.

New one fitted and it was perfect again, all thanks go to Ian at TorquRVT smile

thanks for all your reply's.
might be difficult to nail down the issue.
one more bit of info is that it only done it when the car was warm.

That would more likely suggest to me an electrical deterioration then, coil or HT lead.

Hope hand op was ok Colin.

Never realised that was happening? Thought your reserved getaways were due to cameras... lol

Have no idea what you could have done, I think my dads S6 Cerb had thermal pads needed when his would feel a little lethargic. My default recommendation is give Power a call wink

Speak/meet up soon mate.

Mine is the throttle bodies, str8six just confirmed. Have to wait a month though as the company they use are absolutely rammed.

Thanks Buckers.
Mine cleared by itself on my last run.
But I know it sounds a bit drastic but I'm having the Ls3 conversion done, have always thought a Ls3 in a Tuscan was a great combination.
So have a tvr powers rebuilt SP6 for sale at the right price.

Hi Colin
How were the cans? Are you going to keep them with the LS3?
