Basil +1 as long as cost isn't stupid and a group buy helps.

Where are these from?
I have been taking the odd snap when I saw exhausts I like, so didn't know the origin, so interesting it was RG. I was going to take a picture to a local exhaust specialist and see if they could do something similar but haven't got around to it yet. If you get a quote before I do, please let me know.

For those that have the powertech cans, would you say these are on a par or louder than the standard cans but sleeved?

If you have the powertech cans with no perforated pipe then they are a tiny bit louder than std sleeved cans but not too much.

Simon at powertech can make them up with perf pipe, or even half sleeves if you wanted so not all powertech cans are the same (although most are straight through, no perf pipe).

I went through many different trials of exhaust and settled on decat, act full system, and straight through powertech cans. It is loud tho!

You could also look at the ACT shark nose cans. I found them to make the exhaust very very deep which some might prefer.

Mrchips, what is the difference with the act full system over the standard exhaust?

The main difference is the back boxes on the act have perforated pipe and wadding in w but the std system boxes are just empty.

The act toned down the boominess of the original system without making it too quiet. Driving on light throttle now and the car is fairly quiet, but open it up and the noise is superb and still very identifiable as a speed6.

hey Mr chips.... I have had two ACT exhaust systems in the last few years. The new one just fitted is the 57mm for my Red Rose spec...straight through's basically. the back box is just for show and exhaust mountings and I've fitted the oval cans....which are half perforated and the sound is awesome... it pops and bangs like it should do.... not so quiet on a normal run.

That looks a really neat system. I guess you don't have any clearance problems with the chassis?
Nice choice of poster too. It's also a rare sight to see my initials on a number plate, especially a TVR.

Ok, I managed to get hold of some secondhand Sagaris end cans.

Before with Carbon Cans:

After:

The Carbon Cans are louder but quite 'tinny' the Sagaris cans are slightly quieter, but with much more of a base sound. Both pop and bang on the overrun.

Definitely prefer the sound of the Sagaris cans, but not sure about the look. Thoughts?

A few years ago I seen a Tuscan with Sagaris end cans:-

It sounded good ,but did not look so good at some angles.

I have Blue Flame titanium end cans on mine (standard from the factory):-

Just had the cats re-fitted after 7 years of having de-cat pipes, must say I quiet like the new sound.

Hi John
Blue flame straight throughs provided by Racing Green when I bought it. I'm told that they are no longer available though.
Joe public always asking if they get that hot that they turn blue! They only ever get warm.
Cheers Neil
