I suppose it's too late to look at the
4.7 speed six options that are going to be served up by Powers and Str8six?...

Looks like it...

Pity...
I thought that but nope... Im too pure and I look forward to hearing of the 4.7 that Power produce. The LS is mighty no doubt but I love the S6 drive and don't want to see them go.

Go to the Str8Six website and have a listen to the in car footage from their recent escapades at Daytona. It's a 4.7 that's in the T440.
It sounds brilliant!

Why didn't Dom tell me that lo?. A Cerbera that goes like a T440 (that was always my thoughts of an ultimate road going Cerb). With that said I await pricing info wink

Thanks for the heads up.

I understand that it's the best part of 30 grand to do properly. By no means a viable alternative to a rebuild, at least cost wise.

30k to put a 9k engine in a Tuscan... So about 350 hours of labour on top at 60 an hour.. Bizarre.

Have a look at Doms facebook page. I think he is saying 12 large plus the usual 20% government take.
Not sure what Str8Six will be offering at. Best to call them and ask.

As a point of order. I admire the LS principle. I remember when Paul Black started on his crusade with his Sagaris years ago. It was quite a thing back then with his 1st engine. The conversation was very neat and tidy.

It's horses for courses. For me? I like to keep as close as I can to original, but good for you KSV. You'll have a beast when TC have finished their fine work.

Just out of interest, do these prices include (in no particular order) a new gearbox, exhaust system, water pump, alternator, oil pump, drive belts, diff, prop shaft, upgraded drive shafts, engine mounts, intake piping, injectors, fuel rail, fuel system, engine management system, loom, mapping sessions etc etc? It may not be all that stuff, I am just remembering what Alexdaredevilz has changed doing his conversion.

I'd love to, so I googled them, clicked on the link and it said "checking your browser before linking you to Topcats website" or some such, I clicked continue and it took me to some site selling overpriced domain names, with no way out of it.

If you have their phone number I will call them and tell them

ETA - found their phone number and called them, but it's working ok again now.

Hold on, not sure the above is strictly correct. I'm pretty familiar with what you get for your money as I've been looking to bolt an ultima evo together. 10.5k gets you an ls7 with everything, apart from the oil supply and oil lines. That's injectors, fuel rail, throttle body, oil pump, water pump. The cleanest management solution is the GM plug and play controller for around 800 ish. That is what ultima themselves use.

So we're roughly at 11.5k

At the risk of derailing this thread

12k+VAT for the 4.7SS then add manifolds at 2k+VAT we are then in the LS price range????

This could take me back to square 1 with which way to go? hmmm LS7s available? lol

Paul Blacks Sag is F'in MENTAL!!!!
