So, the suns out... And nice shiney respray needed an outing. 5 mins and the wipers just stop right across the screen. My initial quick fix hopes of a blown fuse proved wrong. I have had that out and it is fine. I cannot move the wipers in any direction , so I am guessing that the motor has had it. Anyone else experienced this before I start looking at replacement options? Cheers. Nick

First thing to check is whether or not you still have power getting to the wiper motor, there may be a relay in the circuit which needs checked - I would imagine this would be down with the fuses - the handbook will advise.

I had an issue with mine at Le Mans last year, the wiper linkage separated under the scuttle panel causing the motor to jam; it's not a great design albeit apparently it's widely used. Removing the scuttle panel is very straight forward (wipers off, remove the large nuts holding the spindles and remove the screws at the outer edges by the wing, then just lift it out - this gives complete and easy access to the wiper motor and all linkages.
