You have a car make from many components from different suppliers, so also a lot of the electr stuff is aprtially from other car makers, and you will find also other things and cables and connectors not connected, laying around specially with all electrical matters. If you take a look at the fusebox this a original Porsche 911 part. Never designed for use in a Tvr!
But anyhow it works, sometimes better, sometimes not (when wet)!
So forget this plug and enjoy you TVR.

Helder, - seem to remember (from when I re-carpeted my car) that this plug was present as well....I don't believe it serves any function.

With the central locking, you have several interlinked/inter-dependant 'control' units.

The alarm and immobiliser ecu's are in the driver's side footwell...the microwave 'box' is under the centre console.

I suggest you speak to Dave at HF solutions (http://www.hf-solutions.co.uk/) and arrange to rendezvous in the UK and he will definitely sort your car. There is another guy, Carl Baker, who lives in France but makes a couple of trips a year to the UK to sort TVR electrics/alarms - http://www.tvruk.tv/

I'd say that it would be worthwhile contacting either of the above as they both have an intimate knowledge of the systems...and how they were installed on a TVR. You could end up chasing your own tail and costing more, by going down the self diagnosis route.

Hi Nick,
Thank you, I've been talking with Don from Abacuscar to provide me one full alarm kit to replace my existing one. I just love to do everything that I can on the car (have done loads of fixes) and I was trying to get this one sorted as well. Loads of info from PH very useful. I think the first visit to UK with the Tuscan is for an engine rebuild. The engine for now runs fine but it has a oil leak that I'm trying to identify, but the weather here doesn't help... Cold and rain. So during the winter working inside and hopefully on the summer to be able to work on the outside... A long journey since November but she was needing some care and attention. I am enjoying every bit that I'm spending on the car almost every day working on it. 6 hours just to get one screw back in place for the dashboard. Just love the Tuscan.
