Hey guys,

So, just finished the final parts of the carpet replacement and really very pleased with the result. It's a lot more straight forward than my wedge was...although that could be because I learned a few tips and tricks from that time!

Anyway, I bought the carpet set from Lakewells (Belgium company, ordered online) before Xmas planning to do this over the break and as it wasn't back from the body shop, it had to wait. Wasn't going to do it this year but decided to go for it! Carpet set was excellent and I would recommend it.

So, the old...

I guess this was a classic drink dropped behind the seat..!

Was less faded than I expected but just a bit nasty.

Out with the old...

And in with the new...this was the worst part, single piece from seat back, up over arch and right along transmission tunnel.

The worst part by a long stretch was getting the dash bottom off. Top was so easy I was hopeful for the bottom tray but thanks to help on another thread on here, I managed it. Getting it back on and lining up that bar across the dash is a PITA!

Took the opportunity to tidy up all the messy wiring behind the dash and also fitted a new powered hidden aerial behind the dash so might be able to listen to radio for a treat now smile

And the finished product...

Also put new leather gaitors too

So pleased as punch with the result, really chuffed! Anyone who wants to do this job, go for it. It does take longer than you expect but well worth the result smile

Cheers! driving
