Main beam won't work
Discussion
I had the fog light not working and the headlights (main and dip) only working intermittently.
In my case it was the ribbon cable that goes from the light switch board to the main boards. One wire had broken completely (i assume this was the fog light wire) and another had probably broken but difficult to tell.
I cut the cable as close to the end as possible but removing the break then cleaned the old bits off the light switch board and soldered it back on.
This solved all the light issues.
I know that the LCD has been replaced and I have also fixed another issue witht He speedo backlights and the temperature gauge (Code C) so it may be a fragile assembly and the ribbon cable broke due to flexing when it has been disconnected a few times.
