Sadly for one reason or another I had to sell my beloved Tuscan last year! wishing I didn't, they seem to have rocketed in price ever since!!!
Well i'm now having major withdrawal symptoms. I want another tvr!! Is it possible to get a good one for under £10k maybe a 's' or chim ? or would I be buying trouble?

We used to have a Chimaera but had to sell it about 4 years ago to help fund unexpected renovations on a house we had just moved in to. After a year, we bought a 350i Tasmin as it was cheaper and we desperately wanted another TVR but that also had to go too to fund more renovations. Two years ago we got an S3C as we realised we just couldn't be without a TVR. It was the cheapest yet at about £3k. So, to many, it would look like we have kept going backwards with TVR's. Most start with something like an S and move on to Chimaeras, Griffs, Tuscans, etc. We just don't see it like that now we've had it for a couple of years.
We absolutely love the S. It is easy to work on and parts are cheaper, it's much more economical that the Chimaera or the Tasmin, the insurance is very cheap, and it is a great driver's car. Its not wickedly quick and I don't end up doing stupid life-threatening speeds like I did in the V8 powered cars. You feel like you are going fast in an S3 but in reality you're not. They are quite rare too and prices are slowly creeping up. There are always lots of Chims for sale, never many S's.
You might be pushing it a bit to get a good V8 S for £10 but you will get a very nice well-sorted S3 for that (if you can find one) plus some change.
Our S is a keeper and it will be desperate times indeed if we find ourselves having to sell it.
