Speedo....help guys. Just fitted a new speedo sensor and wired in as per instruction but have no reading in dash.. checked fuse and gap set to 28thous.

Previous sensor works but would loose signal at 75+ mph despite cleaning and gap.

Can the sensor be too close to read?

Anyone got any ideas what it may be. Double checked wiring as per tvr parts. Sensor wires red to green. Green to grey and black to black. Soldered for good connection and tested resistance so I'm stumped? Is there some sort of reset visit dash or anything?

Driving me nuts...

Forgive me in advance and assuming we're talking MK1, the glass in the pod is not pushed back is it? I only say as mine was and limited mine to about 80/90? Used a sat nav sucker to pull it back, prior to removing the assemble and getting set properly

This is a little bit like......physician heal yourself LOL....so the instruction below are WRONG.

From sender to car is as follows....red to green, black goes to grey and green goes to black.......now have a working speedo........

Hi, have you tried the car 80mph +? I have a similar issue at 90mph + so am interested to know if that solved your fault.

Cheers
