Hi guys,

Looking at potentially changing over an aging set of Gaz Golds for some new Gas Gold Pro's.

I was thinking fitting them myself, then having them set up by a pro...

Is there much to it?

Is it just a case of jacking the car up, removing the wheels, then they are simply held in place by a bolt at the top wishbone, and another at the bottom one?

Any need to compress the springs etc?

In a word "yes" very easy. You don't need any special tools, and the springs don't need compressing as they are coil overs. Unbolt swap in and rebolt.

What M4tti said, just put a set of Nitrons on mine, dead easy, trolley jack, axle stands, spanners, sockets etc. Found it easier on the rears to undo the top wishbone/hub carrier bolt as the shock is a bit tight to get in and out otherwise. A mornings job not rushing.

Thanks lads.

Anything worth replacing while I'm in there? Bushes etc?

I'll order up some nice shiny bolts too.

I'm just getting to the end of replacing all bushes with powerflex bushes and have replaced all bolts, hubs, and powder coated the suspension arms.

I'd definitely consider the bolts, but potentially leave the bushes till winter as it sucks up time.

I've also fitted a set of spacers to the front between upright and steering arm.
