Good suggestions, cheers Matt and John - sounds like I do have a couple of options then. Spring washers would be the easiest solution, so I'll check and see if that's an option. If not then I'll have a look and see how much extra depth I have to play with smile

Matt, we know you just make it all up about these engines....LOL....!

Rob,

Check the length of the bolt, you will find that there is spare depth on these and a final/plug tap run into the hole will mean you can use a bolt nearly 10mm longer. The spring washers are a good idea, esp. if using the Viton gasket. I don't use spray glue, I use Serious Glue by Bostik, comes from BnQ in a silly tube but doesn't let off with the heat like the spray glue does. Phone their tech guys if you don't believe me, its the nuts for this.

Anyway the correct clamping pressure is important, over gripping nuts can cause problems as Matt refers to, see the image. Gentle pressure....
Hold up I missed this one lol

John do you cruise the country looking for these promotional women.. Every other pics you with a couple. Does the missus know you don't really go to work in the mornings biggrin

As for bostick isn't that something you light to make a room smell.. Spray adhesive works a treat, you just gotta know which one to use. Always read the label jester

Chuckles.... yep sshhh on that one. The spray adhesives go all snotty, cleaned enough off. Try the glue I mention, I was thinking to myself "this will never work", actually what I didn't mention is that I used it on a Raceproved cover made from that odd plastic type material. Sticks like mad.

I wanted these two to help me at the loud car comp but figured it may be a bit much for some owners...
