I'm in Italy with my 2001 Tuscan - the voltage sensor is reporting zero volts, but with a multimeter I can verify 12v engine off and 13.5v engine on.

I have tools with me, but no idea where the voltage sensor is - I'm hoping it's a loose wire or something I can repair.

Any advice please?

Cheers,
Richard

Do you mean you're getting a '0 Volts' reading on the dash?
Try turning the LCD function switch, this might re-set it.

Yep, that's the one.

Unfortunately my spinny dial stopped working yesterday - the push button has stopped accepting inputs. Feels like the switch inside it has failed - doesn't have a nice clicky feeling to it any more :-/

I'd confirm with multi-meter you're getting >13.2V at the battery with the engine running. Likewise check output at alternator.

I assume all the other functions are working - lights, cabin fan, indicators....? If these are good, then my gut feel is that it's a dash electronics glitch and nothing to be too concerned about...I'm open to being shot down in flames though!

If it's running ok, things are working normally and everything else checks out then it's not anything to worry about beyond a bad sensor.
