Hi guys,

Just trying to find out what the original Pioneer headunit was that was supplied with the Tuscan?

I guess there may have been a few through the years, but I'd like to source an original.

Any ideas what the model numbers were? Also if there were 'optional extra / upgrade' options for the head unit specifically - I understand rear fill speakers & CD changers were options originally too.

Cheers,
Malc

The original head unit in my September 2000 Tuscan was a Pioneer KEH P6600 RS:-

Ah really, so just a cassette player?

What about the DAB option on the S models? Was that still the same head unit, with a DAB module plugged in the back?

Yes just a cassette player, although I had a 6 disc changer connected to mine. I don't know what unit was used with the DAB on the Tuscan S.

My July '00 car had the same head unit with a 6 disc changer in the boot and speakers in the rear bulkhead instead of the quarters. I've still got the original rear speakers if you want model numbers.

I think they fitted quite a few different models at owners requests. Mine is the only one i've seen before with a single speaker halfway across the rear shelf.

Out of interest, why go for an original unit? There are plenty of nicer looking and better performing models on the market now and i doubt the originality would help with the value of any car (if that's what you're going for?)

My thoughts and final choice were here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

It was more out of interest really. And potentially to pick one up as an 'originality' feature to keep on the shelf, if they were relatively cheap.

I have this at the moment (Pioneer MBH-8300BT:
