speedo transducer broken
Discussion
When mine packed up in 2008, I looked long and hard, even called the manufacturer (they wanted more than TVR!) and couldn't find anything. I wasn't brave enough to try a different transducer in case it fried anything. Got mine from Racing Green in the end.
They have the standard one for £125 or an uprated one for £79.99 both prices ex VAT.

I changed to this sensor

And corresponding cable
http://www.eibtron.com/epages/eibtron.sf/?ObjectPa...
Benefit is that next time the sensor fails I don't have to pull the cable into the boot, just change the sensor.
The sensor has an LED that indicates it's working.
Sorry that it is in German, but I hope this helps a little.
Best regards

you are right this type is an active component and needs +12V, GND to produce signal output.
there is an alternative item from the tvr parts page.

is this maybe an option ?
