TUSCAN DOOR ECU
Discussion
It turns out that mine was the door ECU after all.
It's worth noting that swapping it for the passenger side one didn't work, so this isn't a robust test for checking the door ECU.
Also, I originally sent the door ECU to Electroversal (who to be fair phoned me up to say that they couldn't check the functionality of the unit as they don't know enough about what it's supposed to do, but they would check what components they could). They found and repaired a fault with the unit (very quickly), but there must have been additional issues which they weren't able to find. Fortunately Ian at TorqueRVT had a spare ECU (which is now in my car ) as there is apparently quite along lead time on getting repairs done at the moment.

Been round the houses to get this fixed. Two companies that will remain unnamed have quoted me two different prices and labour time between 2 to 6 1/2 hours. Getting rather aggrieved with all this nonsense but times are tough so will have to wait until the NYear and since my 12k service, one thing to another is going wrong with it. Very frustrating as this is my daily car.
I'll keep you posted but looks like it's either the Harness(loom) needs changing or just a cable needing fixing. Regardless, 2 hours to 6/12 hours is a tremendous difference and feel that I am being taken for a ride. I think I need to do a Level 5 course on TVR mechanics. Anyone else experienced this? Patience is really being tested. Off for a pint of Whiskey now.......
