On the main bonnet there is a solid rubber "foot" on a threaded spindle that supports the rear centre of it. On mine, the original is perished and means the bonnet sags and sits on the passenger side wiper arm. I have packed it out with self adhesive furniture floor protectors but it keeps collapsing over time. This foot doesn't seem to be procurable from any of the normal parts suppliers and I'm struggling to describe it in a google search. Closest I can get is solid rubber or nitrile cord which seems to to up to 40mm dia but its only sold by the metre and that seems a bit of overkill when I only need 20mm or so. Anyone got any ideas or had a similar problem ?

Have you thought of using Sugru? I used it to stop a window rattle. Amazing stuf and sets like rubber.

Would a large tap washer work ?
TVR used tap washers as spacers on the service bonnet hinge smile

Mine was missing altogether and I even tried to locate the original part from the various parts suppliers, eventually asked Str8six to produce/manufacture one at the last service.

Do you have a photo of either the item or preferably the location please as I don't recollect one of these on mine (Mk1 Tuscan) and I have the issue of the bonnet catching on the wiper arm as well.

Not a very good photo and it is on my convertible. But I think this is what the OP is referring to. I put a flat on it so I can put wiper covers on the passenger side (something TVR never bothered with !)
