What's the right procedure to do the Ecu resets?

With engine running or just the key on?

Guess you mean the MBE engine management ECU?

Occasionally, the pins/plugs can get surface 'crap' on them. I've unplugged and then re-plugged the 3 off sockets on the top of the ECU. Engine off, IGN off.

If it's to reset fault codes, that can be done with engine running.

I think he meant the software resets:

Throttle Reset: Engine running on idle

Adaptives Reset: Could be done anytime, but best when engine is warmed up, because with no Adaptives cold start could be very hard.

I allways perform my ECU resets with the vehicle running, allows the adaptives/throttles to immediately start reworking themselves. Also, i like the satisfaction of hearing the difference as its quite a noticable change in smoothness, especially accompanied with a throttle body balance!

Sorry, meant to say software resets.

I did balance the throttle body this weekend (5,5 in each)... it's only my feeling or when it's balanced we get some of the "horse power back" ???

Jesus what a experience this weekend (testing the balancing)... on a straight driving 60 km/h 3 gear push a bit on throttle and end up spinning the car. lucky i was able to control it after changing lanes twice between cars.
I really did not understand what happened.... but for sure it's much more responsive now... and almost lost it... again CAREFULL with the right foot.
