The car was never a road car, it was built as a racer, there is a huge difference. It has raced at Sebring and Spa.
It's far from being an expensive race car, given what it would have cost to build and develop to what it is, and there are many series it can race in at home or abroad.
Is it iconic, maybe not but I think you're being very hard on an honest value for money race car, potentially from a position of not understanding race cars?
It was an unused shell.., which would have been a road car presumably if production continued. It's far from being an expensive race car, given what it would have cost to build and develop to what it is, and there are many series it can race in at home or abroad.

if you read more closely I state "largely domestic". Perhaps a better understanding of written comprehension?
I agree it does represent reasonable value for money.
I think I'm fully appeciative of race cars dear, I was commenting on its "iconic" status.
Was I being hard or more realistic... perhaps they should get down the members meeting at goodwood this year, may stimulate interest.

If it was an unused shell, it will certainly have had much of it's weight removed but that still doesn't mean it started off life as a road car.
I'm not sure what series it was intended to be raced in - I can presume Tuscan Challenge but I'm not sure so I didn't specifically comment. What I was highlighting was that it has raced abroad and in period - which in years to come may see it's value change significantly (Sebring rather than Spa).
Being appreciative and understanding are two very different things as I'm sure you're aware. You came across as the former, and not the latter. Maybe I should not be as quick to judge and I apologise if I sounded condescending (....and I'm not trying to be again!!)
Agree with what I understand your inference to be in relation to sale - the car could be better marketed than it appears to be.
I just wish I had the garage space, I would be discussing purchase.

No need to apologise, no condescend-ment taken It's all good banter! I have to get short sharp replies in, in between meetings. If it was an unused shell, it will certainly have had much of it's weight removed but that still doesn't mean it started off life as a road car.

I too would be vaguely interested in this, space permitting, for an attempt to make it road registered. Although I find some of their output claims "interesting".

Tony, I think everything you need is here http://www.thehedgegroup.co.uk/default.asp?id=63
As I read it the yellow highlighting of the cars description denotes a lemans entry.
The chassis numbers are on the Y axis the year on the X.
Which makes 3.
"Most importantly, chassis' 1, 4 & 5 raced at Le Mans. Chassis 4 & 5 raced in both 2003 and 2004 and the most continuously campaigned and most well known chassis 1 in 2005".
They don't have anything to do with the original car you posted up though.

some one said Blackpool just painted road going cars as racers and repainted road going cars just to make out there was more then there was? on the road? so its 3 racers and ??? how many road going cars?
That's the story about PW conning the Russian by moving IDs about to make it look like there was more stock than there was. Whether that is true or not I don't know but a few ex workers seemed proud of their involvement. Plus, the cars you're now talking about aren't Tuscans like the car for sale. They are a completely different model of car. Of which there were 7 race cars and 5 road cars (A T400, a T440R and 3 Typhons according to badges currently worn) that at various times were the homologation cars to get the race cars into LE Mans.
