Been thinking of getting the roof re-lined on my Tuscan for a while now but unsure of the options. The roof is presently in pretty good condition and has a cream/magnolia alcantara or similar trim; I fancy something darker - ideally some sort of dark green as the car is reflex charcoal with forrest green/cream trim.

Anyone done theirs or have any images they could share? Also who might do this type of work?

Cheers

I got rid of the ageing blue flock and went for a heavy weave carbon with lacquered fine carbon catch cover.

I'll be interested to see replies here, I have a topaz Cerbera with that sackcloth roof lining. I never really noticed it until some other owners at Chatsworth showed me their lovely alcantara roof lining and i thought it made the cars feel much nicer.

Personally I like light interiors so my roof lining now matches the seats etc.

My roof lives in the boot!

I've just done my wedge one with blue vinyl rather than the original grey which looks nice. The Tuscan still has the lovely blue flock!

I loved the material they lined the roof panel of my convertible.
It was like suede. Is that Alcantara?
I stupidly allowed myself to be talked into having it changed when I had a full retrim.
I hate the leather finish I have now, partly due to some stupid non-drying paint that was used and always seems to manage to transfer from roof to hand to leather when I'm removing the roof. frown
Also non too happy that the leather blisters (or should I say the glue) in the hot sun when down in Spain.

Probably Lamonta, which is man made suede.

I went with a light grey alcantara. Dark roof colours are oppressive so should be avoided imo.

Thanks, I'm going to get it changed again.

I had a ride in a Sagaris with a totally black interior, including roof lining.
OK, it was a dull day, raining.

But I have to say it felt like I was in a post box, just waiting for someone to dump some letters through the slot where the windscreen was. Horribly gloomy I thought.

Like so many things, it is a matter of personal taste, but I guess as we get older we prefer lighter car interiors.
I am already getting free prescriptions.....but not yet a free bus pass, and way off a free TV licence, and even further off catastrophic car insurance premiums.

Interesting last few comments about a dark roof making the cabin seem cramped; that is my concern and given I'm 6'3 my head is pretty close to the roof as it is.
