I think the reason why the 2006 cars are compliant ,is " That all petrol vehicles from 2006 meet the emission regulations"?
They had to ,to be allowed on the roads, but I assume that TVR, got around this,or perhaps just ignored it,or simply said ,2006 cars pass the new compulsory Euro emissions regs.
They achieved this by perhaps filing in a form and saying they meet the regs.
They will meet the regs , unless someone pays to check them out, which obviously they won't.rofl

Best of luck with your efforts to sell. It’s extremely tough with so few buyers out there - I know as have been trying to sell an 05’ 2S for ages!
I’m currently giving collectingcars.com a go with their 7 day auction. I am hoping this method will reach a wider audience than previous efforts to sell conventionally by my local specialist and myself.

That's interesting, I hadn't thought of collecting cars are you really need 2 buyers willing to bid up 2 get a good price.

I also think with these cars, the Mk3 I have, if you know what they are and if you are looking for one you are probably checking piston heads, AutoTrader, eBay and dealers every week also anyway.

Collecting cars could be good for a normal Tuscan which people might impulsively buy at 20 or 25k, but I think with these nearer to 50k I'm not sure if that is the right platform, but I will look for your advert now and follow it with interest.

As I surmised, every petrol vehicle from 1/1/06 has to be Euro 4 compliant. So,the TVRs are obviously compliant as well.

The problem today is that these have become rich men's toys who don't flinch at a £13000 engine rebuild when it is needed. And I know all the arguments about how great and reliable these engines are but sadly that is not the reputation they have in the wider car community. The market is small and prices of expensive sports cars are dropping like a stone at the moment so nothing is selling. The market will dictate the value so if it will not sell, then the market is telling you it is too expensive.

It's not what we all want to hear but sadly the days of investment classics seems to be well and truly over and those who have bought at the top end are destined to lose out!

The OP is only going to know one way or the other if they actually put their car up for sale.

Let's hope that these cars are coveted in the way the OP hopes, so that they can achieve the price they desire.

Now is definitely Not the time to sell.Depending on the season, start mid march to mid April.
