How long wil the batery last in a Tuscan if the car is left in a garage for a period of time?
Reason I ask is I can be working away during the week and hence it will be at least 5 days before starting her up and taking for a spin?

I intend to buy a battery conditioner/trickle charger soon but would be interested to know whether tO start panicing now?

As a one of the unfortunate souls that has to commute daily by train (and not wanting to risk my pride and joy with the b******ds that prey on station car parks), my Tuscan routinely goes from one weekend to the next without being started up. No problems with the battery (so far anyway !).

if the battery is in good condition, then leaving the car alarmed it should start after 2 weeks no problems. After that cross your fingers... I have had just over 3 weeks in the summer, but last xmas it was struggling after 10 days in the cold...

Talking about battery's, how do you get at it! I have the special adapter and battery conditioner etc. which is great and a doddle to plug in and charge but I am curious as to where the battery lives. Looked in the footwell for a hatch but did not see anything obvious.

The battery is behind a cover in the N/S front wheel arch.

Some may remember that I posted about a collapsed battery a few weeks ago. Problem was sorted by fitting a new battery (damn that screaming alarm....)

Anyhow, I agree you should be alright for a week or two but don't leave it any longer and take it for a good run when you do. Also watch out when trying to use the adapter beneath for your trickle charger. Mine are furred up pretty bad and wouldn't work (must get em cleaned..) so if I need to charge its off with the N/S panel and on with the croc clips. Hopefully will have too much fun in mine over the next few months to worry about ever letting it got flat again.

I've left mine for 2 weeks with no problems (other than withdrawal symptoms)
