First TVR a chimaera 80,000 miles with no trouble except the alarm system.
Currently driving a Tuscan, Yes I did get engine trouble at about 6,000 and the engine was rebuilt. No trouble since and the next service will be 30,000 miles. And yes it is still a pleasure to drive. And no I don't regret buying it.

Ulster Tuscan,

Good to hear that there are some people that are prepared to standup and be counted. We all love to complain, but dont standup when everything is OK...

Cheers,

Paul

"for a new Tuscan you are looking at the thick end of £45K for the car. What you get is one of the most accelerative cars on the market. 0-60 in around 4, and 180MPH - dont forget that 0-100 in around 10 (supposedly)... you try purchasing something of this level of performance for that price - you cant (and no one mention the Lotus 7 type cars - they dont count!). For that type of performance you are looking Ferrari 360 @ £100K and Porsche Turbo @ £80K. Either way, much more money - you pays your money you takes your choice....."

Could i point sir in the direction of a 45K Noble or perhaps a 2 year old 996 (0-60 in 4.5, 0-100 in 10, 178mph)..........I would love a Tuscan but have suffered the engine blow up scenario with my old Cerby and it took 4 months to sort. Thank Christ it happened in September, if I had missed Le Mans I would have been furious!!

Ted, why not set up a genuine poll, AJP V8 / S6 who has had a failure. To keep it genuine only those that can confirm reg, colour and supplying dealer etc...

Talking about the speed six Cerb, does anyone know if it will share the forthcoming Tamora/Tuscan 3.6 unit??

I doubt they'll re-engineer the Cerbie installation.

So they might find it more logical to fit in the Tuscan S unit: it doesn't sound obvious they keep producing the 'first edition' of the speed six only for one car....
