I'll stop moaning about QC issues for a while and tell you what to do with that Pioneer piece of crap that TVR stuck in my Tuscan S....chuck it out the window (if your window works that is!) and get a Sony CDX-M1000TF, CD / Tuner. Let's face it, you cannot hear anything inside a Tuscan anyway so you may as well get something good to look at. This has a 32,000 pixel display and shows great selections of video and graphics, unbeleivable cuts of Ferraris, Subaru WRX's etc as well as loads of different equaliser displays all for a standard DIN fitting. It is just built for the interior of a Tuscan as it is totally black with only two chrome levers. Looks totally amazing! It comes with a remote control for all the massive array of functions. Mail order £372....£600 at Halfords. bargain

Goto www.decibles.co.uk

these guys sorted out a Tuscan with a whole load of ICE equiptment. It cost the guy about £12K but look!!!

Specially made box for the sub that sits inbetween the boot and cabin speaker pods for the doors and all the ICE stuff. Nice guys there, but i don't think that i would spend £12k in one go.Phew!

Saw similar system in a Tusc at Walldonway. All very nice till you sit in drivers seat. Did you notice the depth of the speakers in the door, hmmm, very uncomfortable as speaker pushes against leg. Wouldnt have wanted to drive it any distance.

I'm just gonna get some component speakers to sit on the front shelf.

Price goes sky high for custom housings etc...

Steven,

If you get some decent speakers in the back to give a good level of bass, all you need in the front are tweeters, as the human ear can't easily tell where the lower frequencies are coming from, so you still get a good balance of sound.

I'll let you have a listen to the stereo in my Tamora at the meet tonight if you want?

I saw the hi fi you were talking about and it looks nice. Sorry to belittle your purchase. I know I would be chuffed too and anything over the standard Pioneer is serious!

Robert, I can't believe I didn't get to listen to your hifi! Doh...

Steven, it wasn't until you suddenly appeared in my rear view mirror at warp speed on the way back, that I remembered that I'd not let you have a listen.

Let me know if you want to meet up again and I can head over to Cippenham.

It is recomended to place tweeters and mids/midbass as close together as possible.
