Hi Simon:

The direct route would be best Santander to Guadix could be done in one stint especially if using the toll roads north of Madrid.

La Bobadilla would be wonderful but maybe a bit too far from the track. If that was compensated by the fact that wives/girlfriends/partners or ?? could be lazing by the pool, swimming, horse riding etc whilst us loonies are screaming round a track could be cool. Also la Bobadilla is a great setting..excellent restaurants and more importantly wine cellar!

One stint - really ! What kind of driving time are we talking about, given that we've just rocked of the ferry ?

I kind of thought it might be better to stop over for lunch then stop over for mas cafe solo's and then mucho bino somewhere! Mucho sleepo and then get upo next dayo do more drivo!

I've done the trip in 9 hours (driving)with a midday drash for a siesta. Depending on arrival times of ferry it may be better to stop off along the line. Thanks for the price guides to the boat..The only negative with October is this is when the weather could begin to change so earlier would be better. Mind you we have had a long winter this year (it has rained 3 times) to it could be okay.
