Just wondered if anyone was considering swapping their Tuscan for a T35ot ???...or have I said a naughty word ?

Well I guess some people would like to swap due to improved handling and lower cost of the T350.

Keep the Tuscan if you want to take the roof off or have a bigger boot or have evil styling.

My preference is with the Tuscan for all of the above but if you want a razor sharp track demon, then the T350 all the way (Unless you want to spend £2,000 on new suspension!)

We were having the T350/Tuscan dilema. I erally liked driving the T350, the steering feel much nicer than the Tuscan, but I just couldn't help wanting the Tuscan more. Also it is more practicle. I dont like the idear of luggae right behind you, on display. And the looks of the Tuscan are better too imo.

Hi again Christine. I think you should definitely go for a T350T since I'm now looking seriously for a black Tuscan S as well. (Evo is definitely the sensible option but who wants to be sensible?)

Its hard to say until we can see a MG T sorry a 350t in the flesh/metal ducks for cover!!

Well I went up to the TVR Centre in Barnet to test drive the Cerbera Speed Six and the new T350 but bought a Tuscan 3.6 Speed Six.

Here’s my impressions of them all and the reason why I ordered a new Tuscan:

I reckon if you had to live with any of these cars on a day to day basis for years to come it'd have to be the Cerbera. Well mannered, compliant, lovely to be in, very fast, great driving position and feel, rear seats and loads of luggage space. Oh and the looks.

But if you want a truly exciting (read hair raising) track day weapon then it'd have to be the T350. The car drives like it's alive, constantly giving you feedback at a blistering rate and not only very fast but feels f***ing fast. Not something to do a grand tour of Ireland with the other half in however!

Anyway as I was getting ready to leave my better half (who had started running off the Tuscan's spec. sheets stat’s in the back of my ear - apparently she'd been talking to the centre's Directors about the car while I was out in the other two which was a little odd for her) insisted I test-drive the Tuscan as well. So after an hour driving the Tuscan I came back with the biggest car induced smile I've had since my first track day.

To cut a long story short I've now got a Tuscan Speed Six on order! It's the most exhilarating road car I've ever driven. More than that it's roof comes off, it's got a massive boot for long driving holidays, the build quality is probably the best out of all the modern TVR’s (I'd worry about buying a T350 before the factory staff have got a few hundred down and sorted any niggles that might have emerged as folks use them in the real world). And with the latest suspension and geometry modification I reckon the Tuscan 3.6 Speed Six is a truly great driving experience. It'll be a hoot on the track, mind blowing through the alps on the way to Cannes in the summer with the roof off, great fun on long weekends and a show stopper round town.

So here's my advice: Buy a Tuscan, hold on to it for a year or there abouts, then trade it in for a T350 if you still fancy one.

Whatever you chose neither will disappoint, I’m sure of that.

Ps I’d been out test driving new Porsche’s the week before and only liked the rear wheel drive Carera (I hated the C4S – for people who can’t drive) but my partner really didn’t want me to put a deposit on one. Note that I did not drive the new 911 Turbo which I reckon I would really really like but sadly cannot afford!

Micheal - we test drove the T350 and Tuscan at the Barnet center also (the widfire red S they have). We also tried the Porsche C4S. Did the same as you, the Tuscan just is so special, so a Tuscan it is! The Cebra is tempting but I have heard it is a bit heavier to drive. The C4S was undoubtedly a great car, but just didnt have any wow factor for me, and I dont really like the looks of it. Cant really justify £70K on a car that doesnt grab me that much.

Utterly torn.

I'm convinced that if I bought either one, I'd be thinking occasionally of the other. The tuscan is slighly wilder looking, and until I've seen the t350t, the fact that you can take the roof off as well swings it, just, for me (at the moment)

Not really practical to trade-in after a year unless funds aren't an issue?

Thanks all for your replys. Think I'll stay with the Toucan.....for now. Will have to drive the T350t before making a decision though. Saying that I quite fancy a new Tuscan in Spectraflair silver !!!! Just hope no one has already had the same idea...
