Glow Worm, I think were going to find them all eventually.....
On anther matter Im thinking of writing a review of the Convertibles for Sprint magazine (Ive just written the Tuscan piece in this months) would you be interested in collaborating on this...
I enjoyed your article Paul, Yes, Why not , I'll jot a few things down (may finish up being an epistle) with a few build photos...you edit what you want and correct my English & Spelling...KeithOn anther matter Im thinking of writing a review of the Convertibles for Sprint magazine (Ive just written the Tuscan piece in this months) would you be interested in collaborating on this...
Re - The Register..I can understand peoples reluctance to give us "build numbers" but it does really help identify cars.. I've started including the advertised selling price on cars..may make it a field with date and mileage..To give us all a feel as to what are cars are now worth (other than priceless !!!)... Got my new diff...brilliant
One idea is to include ALL TUSCAN 2's in the register..(add the removeable TARGA hard tops)..I've no objection ... So what do you think...add the info here if you want to be included....I don't know about the number of Targa MK2s but its probably similiar to convertibles although over a longer period of time and there are some 3.6 Targas (so I'm told)

Re the one for sale in Japan. They are very pricey over here, as very rare. The dealer is selling it for just over 40,000 GBP
I just bought a 2004 Mk1 3.6l off a friend of mine, he was trading it for a maserati, the dealer was offering him 17,800GBP for it so he flipped it to me for the same. I reckon had the dealer got it they would be selling it on the forecourt for around 26,000 GBP. On the whole 2nd hand cars are cheap over here but not TVRs.The downside of owning a car over here is after its 3 years old, it has to have a shaken (MOT) every 2 years - which is very strict and expensive, somewhere between 600 - 1,000 gbp - painful!

Personally I would be against including the Mk II Targas on the same register - it is after all a different model. What I would suggest is having a similar page for them and putting cross-linking links on each page.
Was the new diff to deal with the driveline shunt? Would you mind me asking how much it set you back? Mine is annoying (but not as bad as the original suspension which I have just had replaced).
To make sure (based on TVR factory experience) we changed from the newer BTR M80 (8" I think) diff to the older M76 (7.75") diff http://www.bpw.co.uk/Automotive-DanaParts&Pric... , John Reid @ Grantura Engineering supplied, which meant changing the prop shaft to match, at the same time changed to 3:73 ratio diff from the 3:46 TVR had fitted. I'm told that the close ratio box was designed with a 3:73 diff. Cost well the diff about £700 (exchange ) and £210 for the prop staff then you've labour on top of that... My friends Heath & Paul at X-Works did it for me. I must say it has transformed the car at low end speeds, diff shunt has gone and the engine just feels better at low end take-off.
Hi there ...
Just thought it would be a nice idea to add some information to this register ...
1) The very first Silver convertible was imported into Belgium a few months ago and is now re-registered on belgian plates ! (b.t.w. ... the owner lost his targa panel during a high speed return from France. It was immedeately smached to bits by a car he overtook moments before. New roof panel was ordered and is installed correctly !)
2) Two more convertibles were imported into Belgium. These two cars are still on their original UK plates ;
- NK06CZS
- LK55NUP
Both non-S Tuscans - both in concours condition !
The latter car had the S spoilers fitted
Picture will be forwarded by e-mail ...
Best regards
Dirk

Well ... Belgium isn't exactly 'all over theworld' ... I'd rather say, it's just across the water !
And yes, we have a small number of enthousiasts as well over here
have a look at www.tvrcc.be

re the latest update to the registar, I'm sure that the car spotted at the Barn (s55 GCL) is a different car to the one at Racing Green (GX55 DKE). They are both seperately listed on the DVLA website and I've seen the latter (with the correct plates) in the last few weeks.
Sorry my fault, can't read my own writing...checked GX55DXE not GX55DKE hence didn't appear on DVLA so I thought the plates might have changed..Thanks I'll correctKeith
Couple of 'verts available at Hexham at the moment. One is the late Estoril Blue motor show car with the sparco seats (only done 100 miles form new) and Tony also has a very nice late Reflex Charcoal one with grey hide. Both priced around the £40k mark and are beautifully clean.
Cheers
Paul

That Estoril Blue one at Hexham looks suspiciously similar to the one that was at Racing Green - the same car perhaps? It could also be the 'light blue' one photographed on the production line
I think it's possibly the one of the line, John Simpson (alias Daftlad alias TVR owner) had bought it from after it was completed in the Barn, but the price was increased and John withdrew from the purchase.Edited by THB on Thursday 17th July 14:26

They look like Bishy's and 0-60's - but I thought I would point them out in case they aren't
