Beaten by an M3 ?
Discussion
Anyway going back to the twisty roads comment!!!
Follwed my mates new M3 along around 10 miles of twisty B roads just outside edinburgh, after having my suspension upgraded and setup correctly. He gave his M3 some serious stick and I was stuck to his rear like glue he could loose me, Nitrons Rule!!!
Sorry to burst the bubble!!

Right, the person who drives a Tuscan could have bought a an M3 if he wanted and vice versa. What car we buy is dictated by personal choice, all this "my car is faster than your car" is, I think personally, a load of cYes I own a fast car because I like to drive fast, I am not interested in racing on the public highway which in my opinion I find is rather juvenile and outright dangerous .I do not want to appear to be self righteous and I am sure I will receive a lot of flack from the Gung ho brigade but I don't really see the point as quite honestly there are more important things in life to worry about.

Said this in the other thread too but I would rather have a M3 than a Tuscan. The new ones in my opinion are a better car than a Tuscan
Says the man who drives a Seat.
Whats that got to do with it?
In my opinion, the M3 is the better car by a very large margin - I'm not saying I dislike Tuscans, I think they are great cars. Just because you can't believe someone would rather have a BMW than a Tuscan you have to insult the car they currently have because the manufacturer isn't a known prestige name - Sad, very sad indeed
Elitism ,,, and yes Mongo it is sad , im with the M3 gang , the Tuscan is a stunning looker and yes im sure its real fast but if i was paying with my hard earned it would go on the M3 , i just could not put up with the crap Tuscan owners seem to consider part of the charm of Tuscan ownership
You can quote performance figures until you are blue in the face , but in the real world on real roads i doubt there would be very much between them.

And in my opinion, the Tuscan is the better car by a very large margin, although I don't dislike M3s - I think they are great cars as well.
Tuscan 1 - M3 1
It's a draw! Can we talk about something else now? Please!!!

We've moved on to Seats now Alf. Then we're going to look at cushions and other soft furnishings.

Give us a shout when we get to tupperware, as i have some hard opinions to share.
Ohhh and a scientific magazine recently published a study done by a scientist that proved a Tuscan is better than an M3, so i suppose if the scientists say so then it must be true. What can one do?
simpsonsmodeon
New issue of weird?

New M3 is a tubby, overweight machine. Like me you stick to the original ... 100 % pure E30!

I have a leather recliner which I think far superior in every way to those cloth covered secretaries chairs...
The recliner *is* at a natural advantage on a downhill straight due to its power/weight advantage. But the secretary's chair has all the adjustable gadgets needed to set it up for superior cornering. It's a tough call to say which would outperform the other from the lights, but I'm sure someone's got some statistics/anecdote to back up their opinion...
