Put your pyjamas on, take a cup of Horlicks and climb the mountain staircase to bed.

Pitiful post, unworthy of this board.

z4 is a slow car compared to the tuscan, how ever yesterday i did get to race a tuscan off the lights and to be honest we were evenly matched, but the tuscan looks so good, and yes i do have a bmw. [dont take the piss]

well i can tell he was going for it, reving it from the lights and we both looked at each other before we floored it.
it was wet on the road and my z3m coupe does have dsc, and 325bhp and 0-60 in 4.3 so would a tuscan really wipe me?

Well it's possible as the difference at say 60mph is negligable. It's only continuing onto higher speeds a real difference would be seen. btw have your seen the Top Gear test a few years ago where Tiff pitched a Z3M against a TVR ? His conclusion was the Z3M handled better, but in a straight line drag the TVR pulled away from the BM. It was a Chimaera 500 not a Tuscan though.

i agree with nearly everything you guys have said, the tuscan is a faster car than the mcoupe, but with their only being .03sec to 60 and say 1sec to 100 surely it would then depend on the driver, and reaction time away from the lights?

i dont consider myself a BMW driver as the mcoupe is more a specialist car rather than a main stream bmw, and has many times been called a german tvr.

Afternoon,

I am glad someone has brought up the topic of the ZM Cars, I traded my ZM3 in for a Tuscan, the ZM cars are excellent cars no doubt and are very fun cars to drive but on the other hand the main reason I traded mine in was after I had been Eaten alive by a Tuscan, I then went for a test drive, and couldn't resist.

TVR's rule the Road!!!

What's your problem? Did you come home to find your wife being dicked by a BMW owner lately?

at the risk of being stoned, id wager on a circuit that the (bug ugly) Z4 would beat a Tuscan..... on the recent 5th gear test at anglesey the z4 trounced the boxter s which is acknowledged as bing a handling benchmark.

Now in a straight line the tuscan probably would have the edge...

Now a T350 against the Z4 on the track would be more interesting....

Graham
( with neither a Tuscan or a BMW, although the discovery was built by BMW and i have 3 other tvrs )

Graham,

Think you may be mistaken, porkster was not a S and 'trounced' is hardly the word for less than a second. As for beating a tuscan around Anglessey, too many variables too take into account (driver, set up etc) There are times when a Mini could beat a Tuscan or even a Pagani in the A to B, don't think this is really the point. As for any Z4 beating a Tuscan in a straight line only one variable to consider, has the Tuscan got petrol ?

Given what we have often heard said about TVR's bhp figures, this may be worth a look

Maybe, if the circuit was on a frozen lake! I’ve been in a 2.5 Z4 and although the handling is good, it’s massively slower than a Tuscan – as the owner was forced to admit after I took him for a quick drive. My brother has a 3.0 Z3 which although a little bit faster, is still pedestrian compared to a Tuscan so I doubt a 3.0 Z4 would be much better.

A Z3M might be faster round a twisty circuit as they are pretty quick.

yes the breadvan is in a different leauge to the roadster, faster and better handling, evo had one as their season car and loved it, said that even after testing the zonda the mcoupe still felt very very fast, still not sure i could get mine to go 0-60 in 4.3sec though.

Standard off the line car to factory setup with the same driver...

Very true
