Had the use of this beastie over the weekend; an F-Type 5ltr Supercharged V8. Stuning performance, handling and noise (popped and banged like my Tuscan - though that's where the similarities ended).
Wow, the F-Type looks massive next to your Tuscan! Both stunning cars but the TVR easily takes it. Edited by Dickie Dastardly on Monday 14th October 13:06

It was huge in comparison to the Tuscan, it dwarfed it in every way. I love my Tuscan and frankly think TVR's have more appeal and credability than most affordable sports cars; however I was blown away by the F-Type, the acceleration was blistering but importantly the handling was fantastic - there is no way I could drive the Tuscan the same way (mind you at £100k it should be good!! ).
£100k? Wow.What exactly do you mean when you say you couldn't drive the Tuscan in the same way (I'm genuinely interested)?

The Tuscan can be nervous at speed on A and B roads, the F-Type hardly flinched and rode the undulations as if they were none existent; the car was smooth, fantastically noisy and just felt perfectly balanced. As mentioned I guess at that sort of price it should perform well (NB got the price from an almost identical one for sale on PH)...What exactly do you mean when you say you couldn't drive the Tuscan in the same way (I'm genuinely interested)?

FYI I don't doubt what you say; I'm interested because my dream car is a Tuscan S and I'm trying to learn as much as I can about them. Yours looks lovely. As far as I understand, there's a massive variation between all TVRs depending on what suspension's fitted and how they're set-up and that the nervousness is something that can be remedied. I know the Tuscan should be fantastically responsive and I know TVR fitted a slower steering rack to the Mk2 to "cure" it's wayward tendencies. As we all know, they're crazy fast on a smooth track but real roads can be challenging. - I remember on the way to Chatsworth about 3 years ago keeping up with another PH'ers Chimeara 400 in my 1.6HDI Citroen C4...until a straight bit of road that was!
