I'm currently looking to purchase a MK1 Tuscan and importing it to France and registering it here. Registering it in France isn't a problem as I've done it with various other cars including cars imported from Japan, so I know the process very well. However with the Tuscan I've noticed that the speedo doesn’t have KPH on it like other TVR models including the Cerbera, Griffith etc.

Does anybody know where I could buy a KPH speedo to replace the MPH one? I know TVR made a few LHD cars to go to Holland etc so there must be a way.

Thank you in advance.

You have to change the miles scale plate against a km/h plate.
The speedo can remain as it is.

The problem is that the km plates are sold out
and nobody knows the origin manufacturer of the scale plates.

I would also take one!

mine (Mk1) also says KMH in the "normal" digital screen (right undercorner) as well.

Yup, my early MK1 has the above. It would be much better to change the brass plate though!

i usually drive with the fifth screen with all the data on, i am not that interested in speed. and you just deduct to the approximate KM's.

Cheers for the replies.

The KPH on the digital readout should be enough to keep the French authorities happy. I'll give them a ring and find out if its ok.

that's not a problem with the digital speedo which could be swapped into kms in the on board computer preferences

be careful with the polycarbonate rear window, french authorities don't like it as for the noise emissions...

Put me down for a KPH speedo too...!!

Maybe if some of us interested could find the supplier, then we could order some...

Tried & tried. The person I sourced mine from has become un-reliable, but, if I can get 10 orders together I might be able to convince someone to make some.....what says it?

I have fitted the face to my Tuscan and it's great!
