No answers to my previous post so thought I would ask again.

Rearlight sidelights and number plate lights are not working. All fuses and relays are fine, front lights are fine.

Some suggestions as to the cause and cure would be handy.

Thanks

Nick

hmm, sounds like it could be a bad earth/ground connection, the front sidelights not working confuses things as its mostly rear lights, no sure where the ground point is but i would suspect underneath the boot area on the chassis somewhere. anyone else?
ps are the brakelights working?

Brake lights are fine and they share an earth with the rears.

right, just seen your other post, all the things not working are on light switch position one and all things working are position two (dipped and main beam) i would say 99% its the switch, when turned to pos 1 it sends current down a wire (A) , pos 2 sends current down another wire (B) and (A).
if pos 1 is not making contact, no matter where you set the switch the sides, rears and numberplate lights wont work.

been after a wiring diagram for a while now for stuff like this thumbup

Good call, could be dodgy contact or broken wire

Hi,

So how was this resolved? Was it the switch or ribbon cable? I have the same problem, Was about to send board of for repair but see your post and someone stating 99% the switch. position 1 nothing, position 2 works fine. so no side lights, no rear lights or number plate lights. Please help.

Hi, I had this problem, and it turned out to be a couple of relays on a PCB thats part of a few PCBs behind the Speedo display. I sent the board off to Paul Smith, all fixed and no problems since. I am not saying this is your fault but worth a call to Paul to see what he thinks.
