Hi,
Sorry, i have no idea about TVR's but someone i know is wanting to sell/swap a TVR Tuscan GT, aparently one of two in the world?
He says:
"A full race Tuscan GT in Lamborghini Diablo Purple, cream leather.
28.5k on the clock, receipts of over £56k on the car for work completed since birth in 2000.
Fully sorted no problems new eveythings, I would take you for a blast if you have a "G" suit to hand.
547 bhp in a carbon fibre / kevlar race car - it has been proven 0-60 1.89 seconds and the one in Russia at the TVR show room made 215mph before the test driver bottled it!"

Whats one of these things worth?

Thanks

James

The real Tuscan GT was never completed, it went off in container with rest of the bits last year.

It may be a Tuscan Challenge car ? or T400/440 , Speed12 ??? confused Suspicious of the figures

TVRs that match the above description are normally only available for sale in Gran Turismo.

Chap selling it sent me photos. They're not that detailed, but the car looks like a standard Tuscan on 18" spiders; standard brakes; with a "S" front spliter; and a Fiberon boot spoiler.

Ah, it'll be that boot spoiler that makes it do 0-60 in under 2 seconds.

Sounds similar to the car described to me last year, but the pics shown to me were of a relatively std Tuscan Mk1. I think if there was anything special out there we'd have heard about it by now..

Might be worth a bit more if you take the rear spoiler off.

Looks to me like a standard Mk1 S with a horrible bespoke spoiler on the boot. £18k would seem to be in the ball park, if perhaps at the top end for a 2000 car (going on the W reg plate), dependent upon condition, mileage and things like engine rebuild/upgrade and any mods etc

Claims of 500+ BHP, sub 2 seconds to 60 and 200+ MPH top end along with it being 1 of only 2 built would appear to be 'poetic license'

From that video, it's not even an S - just a std one.

And just to clarify, it's not a race car, it's not carbon fibre / kevlar, it's probably 360bhp at best, but it certainly is purple.

£18,000? - maybe, but only from a dealer with full warranty. Privately I'd say £13-£16k depending on condition and history.

Just asked about the engine, its: A full race 4ltr straight six, cammed up bigger valves, mapped up by TVR stuck on the rollers, als been clocked on the Hockenheim and Nuremburg circuits.
