Having sat for a while (okay, nearly 10 years), during which time the petrol pump failed (thus preventing occassional running) and a adding a good degree of laziness, the 4-star left in the Vit's tank eventually solidified. No amount of cursing and throwing things at it managed to shift the resulting gunk, and the outcome is a new tank on order from our friends at Rimmers.

So, if your P&J is languishing in a barn for any period of time, please remember to flush the tank out, or run some fuel through once in a blue moon.

On a positive note, the mechanical refurbishing is virtually complete, and I'm looking forward to my first drive since about 1996. Happy early Christmas to me.
