Not enough pedals for me but I'm sure one of you would appreciate the old girl. smile

Sad, sad news everyone. The 213S is dead. cry

The chap who bought it from my mate Kev' lied about his intentions and the car will be banger raced tomorrow night at the Norfolk Arena, King's Lynn. Lucky I'm working because I would have organised a lynch mob if not. furious

The SD3 rally car didn't make reserve (my budget at least) and is relisted for £3,000

yikes

Good luck with that I bought this...

...late model 620Ti instead. smile

1999 means a few things.

1/ The EU stuck their noses in making it compulsory for cars to have auxiliary brake lights. As it's mounted at the bottom of the rear screen the 620Ti no longer had the rear spoiler.
2/ BMW bean counters meant that when the 620Ti badges ran out no more were bought so my car has a plain Jane "600" one.
3/ Front fog lights instead of brake ducts on the bumper, rear head rests and colour coded door handles and side skirts.

I like a good "Q" car and this is one of the best. Unless you are a real anorak you would not know this was a Ti until you tried to keep up with it. hehe

Standard 16's (for now) and Racing Green 2 code COB

I have to admit I did look at the spoiler on my dead MG ZT before I sent it away but with 75,000 miles on the clock and good general condition is it worth faffing about with the 600?

I bought the car with much the same goals as my 213S family wagon with classic insurance, but this time the factory tow bar was essential so I can build a dedicated track day car instead of taking my daily and therefore taking it easy so I don't blow the thing up. wink

That did not sound right at all. COD is the code on the touch up pen that came with the car. The paint code on the VIN is HNA

I would have lost sleep over that. hehe

I wasn't looking for a 620Ti to be fair. I wanted a car that didn't have the water pump driven by the cam'belt and had four doors and a tow bar. wink

There are a few on carandclassic and such sites for £3,000+ with double the mileage of mine.

Both driver side doors have been rubbed and the rear arches will need addressing for the next MOT. New cat' and back box for the last MOT and the usual crappy handbrake advisory. Apart from that and the rub marks on the drivers seat she's a gem. biggrin

With a maximum towing capacity of 1,200Kg my Rover did well today. 400Kg trailer and 780Kg Fiat Uno.

The number plate was taped over so the old registered keeper doesn't get a ticket for the Dartford crossing. wink
