My poor mathematical ability leads me to beleive he may have been averaging about 75 miles per hour?
You'd be surprised how much some people struggle with that sort of maths.
(or maybe you've already seen that vid?)

My BMW definitely has indicators - I used them just last week on the way down to Le Mans so that the garlic munchers knew to move the f*$% out of my way..

i would say to average 75mph on the M25 even at midnight would require stretches of far higher speeds. I note he has only been arrested for driving away fast rather than for some other offence that might have caused him to try and flee. So, do we reckon he was nailing it just to get somewhere fast, got blue-lighted and then decided to not stop? Where the fk did he think he was going to get to, on the M25? Isn't 75 miles just one lap anyway? Or was he trying to beat the record?

Oh my god! You've just clarified the entire BMW/indicator thing to me smile I always thought the factory forgot to fit them, or that they were on the option list and just happended to cost the same as an M-Sport bodykit and therefore never got picked.

Could it be they actually just rotate the stalk 90 degrees before installation? It would explain the lack of indicating combined with excess headlight flashing.....

Surely the 'plod' need some excitement to justify their having posh fast cars and a helicopter? What a coincidence they had these all ready for this professional driver who seemed to be accident free during his run, which fortunately he chose to do when most people were in their beds. No indication whether he'd been involved in a crime but we must bear in mind that the motorist is the current cash machine for any small transgression so maybe he thought "in for a penny in for a pound". :whoohoo:

One thing about that video, is that he passes he car in the left lane at a serious speed but in the lane next to him.

That's pretty sh*tty driving IMO!

Will PistonHeads now be reporting on every high speed pursuit, or just the one's that have caused a diversion for them on the way home??

They'll be calling them Police Engineers soon like they do with the bloke that comes round to plug the phone lines back in the green box on the street corner.

Only 140, must try harder.

I would very much enjoy the American style "We interrupt your regular programming to BRING YOU THIS F*CKING AWESOME HIGH SPEED CHASE! Oh nevermind, he's been shot".

Beats Emmerdale.
