I wonder if they actually drive the cars or was it a virtual test. And this chap seems to have trouble pressing a button twice instead of once.

And this is class:

"When you’re properly, properly going for it, then the gearbox melds with the entire Trophy package and this feels like a serious little racer. Where it loses out to rivals is not having quite the same verve below nine-tenths. So, if you like a car that delivers on max attack, go for it."

Well is that not the whole point of an RS model, when your going for it, it comes a live.

Help me Lord!

Meh, I'm a big Cliosport fan and hate to see it going to a five door, spazzy paddle, generic car.

The old ones were great because they were cheap, simple and hands on. This just isn't a Cliosport to me, I'd have the ST over it in a heartbeat

its hard not to feel disappointed with the new Clio if you read reviews about it - wasn't blown away by the new 200 t.

However, when i was at my local Renault garage, saw one of the new 220's and it looks fantastic, the ride height lowering makes it look much more purposeful. if i hadn't just ordered a car, id replace my 208 GTi with one immediately.

Top gear always give a good depth view of the car and give a honest opinion. But it is only an opinion to that specific person. Yours could be completely different.

Is it me or do these "Q and A" reviews seem more prevalent?

There's not a billion of them on the roads. Thats reason enough to not get a fiesta ST and get one of these.

I might get one as the more I think about it the less I will have to do on track which is only a good thing.

Might just go for the standard one though and not the trophy

i don't see the problem?
No surprise maybe but it's a 10/10ths car. VAG cars make swift progress at 7/10ths but aren't as alive flat out.
He's confirming what you may have thought, expected or hoped for. not all recent RS cars have excelled at 10/10ths!

I went to possibly go and buy one the other day.

Customer service was tripe. Bought a Polo Gti instead...
