How about a new supercharged petrol XJ saloon loaded with options for £48000?

Let the games begin: Jaguars are About to Get a Lot Cheaper

"its top-of-the-line sedan, the XJ, will still run at least $74,400"

"at least" in other words from 74,400.

I doubt that will be XJR more likely the base model.

Hardly the latest news - Bloomberg are a bit late as the XE has been in Europe since March and the F Pace has been known about for at least a year.

You may have misread, or not read, the article.

Bloomberg are not announcing the arrival or launch of anything. They are revealing a new and more affordable pricing structure. As well as base cars, at least in the case of the XJ, which come well optioned at no incremental cost.

Run the pound / dollar comparisons and see for yourself if Jaguar are not being more than a little assertive with their intended offers.
