Has anyone heard that Audi may have an emmissions problem with the new Audi TT RS engine, that is why it is limited nos to the Uk pre xmas, Ive heard it will either be delayed on all cars other than the ones just arrived and for delivery pre-xmas or it will need to be de-tuned jan 17 on?

What kind of emission problem?

Also, are they not using the old engine and just tuning it for better performance? I doubt they are introducing brand new engine technology...

The engine is brand new aluminum block. The delay is apparently due to the refrigerant from what i've been reading on the TT forum.

Great engine in pursuit of a decent chassis. When VAG decided to start building the TT off something other than a Golf platform, maybe they'll have a Boxster/Cayman rival.
