Shell gearing up for UK launch of V power

Just had the official annoucement through my work (here at Shell EPE) that next Wednesday is the official UK launch of V-Power - the Euro stuff that's replacing Optimax.

If you're in London, the launch event is on Belvedere Road, outside the Shell building. Felipe Mass, Loris Capirossi, and Troy Bayliss will be there, along with their cars/bikes and a bit of a demo.

That would be tomorrow for anyone that's interested.

It's true. Seems it's now 99RON, rather than Optimax's 98. Haven't filled up yet, but I presume it's in the forecourts now.

Heard on the grapevine (from someone working at a shell garage) that they will be branding this as 99ron.

Shell UK website says 99 RON.

I wonder if they're de-rating it to stop the allegations that were constantly levelled at Optimax?

V Power is Here with an Octane Rating of 99 RON........up on optimax's 98.......Is it worth it ....well it can knock spots of BP's Ultimate.... which was a poor copy of optimax anyway....and no its not just a copy of Optimax, it has some interesting additives....

Try this web site which reports on the difference between Unleaded/Optimax & Ultimate....V power will be even better !!!
